Steve Baird – Brief Biography

Steve Baird has had a successful career in business for over 35 years. He currently is the President of Baird Partners LLC, which he founded in Q-1 2008. He has been deeply involved in Executive Coaching, Leadership Development and Talent Programs for over a decade---as an executive coach, coaching practice leader, program architect, career advisor and teacher.

In terms of coaching style and philosophy, Steve emphasizes the positives—what skills can we build off of? What is the individual doing well? It is a critical step that enables one to create positive relationships with others. Steve is certified in a number of assessment tools including the Myers- Briggs MBTI and the Hogan Personality Assessment tool.

Steve has broad leadership experience at global companies. He has held a variety of senior leadership positions including: Citibank HR Generalist for Investment Management, Morgan Stanley Head of HR for Investment Banking, UBS Regional Head of HR and Practice Leader of the Coaching Program and New York Life Insurance Internal Executive Coach.

He has a Masters Degree in Psychology from Columbia University and a BA Degree in Economics from Bucknell University. He maintains a keen interest in Education, having served on numerous Boards including the University of Connecticut MBA Board of Advisors, The Gunnery School Board (Chairman), Workforce Board in Bridgeport CT (Executive Committee). He has taught at the University of Connecticut MBA program (Career Dynamics).

Steve has been married for 36 years and has one daughter. He and his family live in Rye, New York. He is an avid sportsman with a passion for tennis and paddle tennis player having competed successfully in college and beyond in many National doubles championships.
